Cookies and localStorage are different
Cookies are small values that a browser can send with requests to a website. localStorage keeps values for a website in the browser and does not automatically attach those values to network requests. Both are forms of device storage and should be explained clearly.
This static site uses localStorage only when you select a preference control on this page. Reading the guides, opening the navigation and using the local message tool do not require a stored preference. There are no optional tracking categories to enable in this version of the site.
Your browser preference
“Accept” records that you have acknowledged these storage choices. “Essential Only” records a restrictive preference. Neither button enables analytics or advertising, because neither is included. These controls do not grant consent to future, undisclosed uses.
No preference has been checked. JavaScript is needed to read or change a saved value.
What is saved
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| parcelbrijollypigen-preference | Stores “accepted” or “essential” after you explicitly select a preference. It is not a unique visitor identifier. | No automatic expiry. Remains until cleared by you or your browser. |
The local contact draft
The contact message is built in the page’s memory, not saved to localStorage or sent by the tool. A copied draft goes to your device clipboard, and a downloaded draft becomes a file you control. Your browser or operating system may independently retain clipboard history, downloads or restored form content according to its settings.
Change or remove a preference
Use “Clear Preference” above to remove the value created by this site. You can also delete site data in your browser settings. Choices are specific to the browser and device; they are not automatically shared across devices. If browser storage is blocked, the page will report that a preference could not be saved and the rest of the site will continue to work.
Hosting and other services
This page describes storage created by the delivered site code. Hosting infrastructure, browser extensions and external services may have separate behaviour. Sending an email opens your chosen mail service under its own terms. See Privacy for technical connection information and correspondence handling.
Future changes
If optional tracking or additional storage is introduced, this explanation and the relevant controls must be updated before that functionality is used. An existing acknowledgement is not permission for a new purpose. For questions, email [email protected].
